Along with the financial sponsorship, the Town has provided a venue for the Black Belt ranking on June 5 and will provide additional tables and chairs as needed for both the tournament and ranking.
Canadian Nuclear Laboratories
The Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is Canada’s premier nuclear science & technology organization. CNL is supporting a science show in the small gym during the tournament with activities for all ages. There is no admission fee for the science show or for spectators of the karate tournament. The Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) is the birthplace of Canada’s CANDU power reactors, various nuclear medical applications and originators of numerous technological innovations. There are even two Nobel Prizes directly connected to CRL.
